China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), along with 3 other ministries, organized the 2025 NEV countryside initiative, at which the authorities will select a number of typical county-level cities with low NEV promotion ratio but high market potential, and hold several special events, radiating promotions to surrounding towns. Activities will be tailored to regional characteristics. The catalog includes a total of 124 models, but XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) is not included. BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)has 11 models included in the 'NEV countryside initiative' list, including Han, Seagull and Seal. Geely has 12 models selected, including Geely Galaxy L6 and Zeekr 001, etc.. LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK)'s models included are Leapmotor T03, C10, C11, C01, C16, while XPENG-W (09868.HK)'s selected models include M03, P7+, G6 and G9.
