Driven by strong festive demand during Ramadan and Easter, eased inflationary pressures, and expanded availability of emerging Android brands, smartphone shipments in the Middle East and African markets increased by 7% YoY in 1Q25, marking the first rebound after two consecutive quarters of decline, according to a report from global technology market research firm Counterpoint Research. In addition, Chinese mobile brand Transsion continued to lead the market with a 32% share, up 3% from the same period in 2024, followed by Samsung.
