Bonnie Chan, CEO of HKEX (00388.HK), said at a summit event that, approximately two years ago, when she took office, the Hong Kong stock market faced challenges such as average daily turnover falling below $100 billion and a sluggish sentiment in the IPO market. Hong Kong was even mocked as the 'ruins of an international financial center.'

However, the situation has now reversed, with over 300 companies queueing to apply for listing in Hong Kong, reflecting the market's attractiveness and the strong impetus brought by the development of China's economy.
