The HSI opened up 301 points or 1.2% at 26,160. The HSCEI climbed 124 points or 1.3% to 9,357. The HSTECH rose 108 points or 1.8% to 6,042. In the tech sector, BABA-W (09988.HK) opened 3.5% higher, as its Quark is reported to be advancing an AI business initiative codenamed "C Plan". TENCENT (00700.HK) added 2.5% to HKD643. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK), JD-SW (09618.HK), BIDU-SW (09888.HK), and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) rallied 1.8-2.1%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) and NTES-S (09999.HK) inched up 0.9% and 1.1%. BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) leaped 3.2%. As Apple (AAPL.US) hit a record high with a jump of nearly 4%, handset-related stocks SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK) and BYD ELECTRONIC (00285.HK) ballooned 3.7% and 1.9% at open. Chip stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) also gained 2.1% and 2%. Carmakers GEELY AUTO (00175.HK), BYD COMPANY (01211.HK), and LI AUTO-W (02015.HK) opened inclining 0.8-1.2%. NIO-SW (09866.HK) and XPENG-W (09868.HK) spiked 4.3% and 2.4%. CATL (03750.HK) escalated 2.8%. Its 1-3Q25 net profit grew 36%.
