The HSI ended the day up 149 points or 0.6% at 26,085. The HSCEI rose 91 points or 1% to close at 9,198. The HSTECH climbed 47 points or 0.8%, closing at 5,662. The total market turnover for the day amounted to HKD210.473 billion.

Hang Seng Indexes Company is set to make constituent changes after the bell. INNOVENT BIO (01801.HK), which will be added to the HSI next week, receded 1.7%. LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK), poised to join the HSTECH next week, added 0.8%. ASMPT (00522.HK), which will be removed from the HSTECH, gained 0.7%. YUM CHINA (09987.HK), to be included in the HSCEI next week, dropped 1.6%.

Robotics concept stocks UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880.HK) and SANHUA (02050.HK) rallied 2.5% and 2.6%. DOBOT (02432.HK) shot up 4.1%. Among other tech stocks, BABA-W (09988.HK), MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), JD-SW (09618.HK), NTES-S (09999.HK), and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) edged up 0.4-1%. TENCENT (00700.HK) dipped 0.3%. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) jumped 1.9% and 2.5%. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) surged 5% amid reports of its plan to spin off Kunlunxin for listing. Chip stock SMIC (00981.HK) lost 0.1%.

In addition, EAST BUY (01797.HK) ticked up 4.6%. WEIMOB INC (02013.HK), KINGDEE INT'L (00268.HK), PA GOODDOCTOR (01833.HK), and NEW ORIENTAL-S (09901.HK) ballooned 2.8-3.7%.

Chinese financial stocks gained momentum after midday. Insurers CHINA TAIPING (00966.HK) and PING AN (02318.HK) soared 7.1% and 6.7%. CHINA LIFE (02628.HK) and CPIC (02601.HK) grew over 5%. Brokers HTSC (06886.HK) and GF SEC (01776.HK) escalated 3.6% and 3.2%. CM BANK (03968.HK) also went up 2.1%.

Carmaker BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) shed 0.8% to HKD99.15. In contrast, its peers XPENG-W (09868.HK) and NIO-SW (09866.HK) rebounded over 2%.
