A spokesperson for XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) released a Weibo post, responding to the car fire incidents that occurred yesterday (19th) at a car repair shop in Haikou, Hainan, and on a highway in Kaifeng, Henan.

Regarding the Hainan incident, vehicle data indicated that the car entered a parking state at 7:30 AM, after which the driver and passenger left the vehicle. At 5:34 PM, the front seat was moved, followed by a fire.

Until the vehicle went offline and data transmission was interrupted, the power battery remained in a normal state. The fire was promptly extinguished by the fire department, and no injuries were reported.

In the Henan incident, a Xiaomi YU7 was involved in a traffic accident when a truck switched lanes on a slippery snowy road, causing a collision that damaged the front of the vehicle.

The driver parked the vehicle on the emergency lane and evacuated in time. Before the vehicle went offline, both the power battery and the small battery were within normal ranges. The vehicle later caught fire, which was promptly put out by the fire department.

The spokesperson stated that Xiaomi is fully cooperating with the fire and traffic management departments in the subsequent investigation, assisting users in handling the matter, and urged car owners, media, and the public not to believe or spread rumors.
