A fiscal balance is anticipated for China for the last year based on preliminary data, Li Xianzhong, Director General of the Comprehensive Department of China's Ministry of Finance (MOF), stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office.

The national general public budget expenditure has been front-loaded and maintained at a strong level to provide the necessary financial bolster for economic and social development, he said. Relevant data is expected to be released by the end of January or early February.
