In December 2025, China produced 68.18 million tons of crude steel, down 10.3% YoY, according to data from the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA). China also produced 60.72 million tons of pig iron and 115.31 million tons of steel, down 9.9%/ 3.8% YoY. For the entire 2025, China produced a total of 961 million tons of crude steel, down 4.4% YoY, with a total daily production of 2.6324 million tons.
