BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) has unveiled its second-generation blade battery at the second-generation blade battery and fast charging technology launch event. The new blade battery can charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes and from 10% to 97% in nine minutes, with which BYD COMPANY can perfectly solve the slow charging issue and difficulty in low-temperature charging, said Wang Chuanfu, the carmaker's chairman and president, in his speech. Compared to the first generation, the second-generation blade battery has the energy density increased by another 5%, meaning that the range of the Denza Z9GT equipped with the new blade battery can reach 1,036 km.
